Updated: August 12, 2013 11:45AM

Two motorcycle crashes were reported in Gurnee Tuesday, July 9, but only one was serious.

The serious crash occurred just before 11 a.m. when a vehicle exited Windsor Court onto Route 21 in the 400 block and allegedly pulled out in front of a motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 60-year-old from Winthrop Harbor, was taken to Advocate Condell medical Center, Libertyville, with serious injuries, but is expected to survive. The driver of the vehicle, Phillip Luetkehans, 49, of Wheaton, was cited for failure to yield to another vehicle from a private drive and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

The minor crash occurred on Route 45 near Washington Street and there was no serious injury, Gurnee police said.
