A 29-year-old Ingleside man died in a Libertyville hospital from injuries he sustained in an accident in Fox Lake Wednesday.

Police said Marshall Tieman of the 35000 block of N Laurel Avenue died around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, after surgery for multiple trauma injuries he suffered in the crash, said Deputy Chief Coroner Orlando Tortillo of the Lake County Coroner’s Office.

The accident occurred around 9:18 p.m. on State Park Road where Tieman was driving his 1978 Honda motorcycle northbound near Kohl Avenue. His motorcycle struck a 2001 Toyota Coupe driven by Danielle Culp, 19, of the 200 block of Kohl Avenue, who was turning left onto State Park Road when the motorcycle struck her vehicle.

She agreed to giving blood and urine samples at Centegra Medical Center, McHenry, after the accident.

The Major Crash Assistance Team was called in to investigate the crash. A Fox Lake Fire Department ambulance took Tieman to the hospital.

No citations have been issued and the crash is still under investigation.
