Disability Act: Residents can share their input about the recently updated Americans with Disabilities Act Transition Plan and help the Mundelein Park District put together the best ways for visitors to use our facilities and programs. The ADA Transition Plan is a comprehensive plan based on a review of all parks and facilities of the Mundelein Park & Recreation District. The reviews for the plan were conducted by Recreation Accessibility Consultants of Hoffman Estates. The purpose of the plan is to address any barriers the district may have that prevent a person with a disability from using facilities or programs. Action on the plan will be taken at the July 25 district board Meeting. Those wishing to share input can do so by attending either the July 11 or July 25 meeting. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. and are held at the Mundelein Community Center, 1401 N. Midlothian Road. At the meetings, participants will have an opportunity to review the proposed plan and ask questions. Comments can also be shared with Margaret Resnick, director, Mundelein Park & Recreation District, at (847) 388-5460, or mresnick@mundeleinparks.org. Board meetings are open to the public and are held the second and fourth Monday of each month.
