Updated: July 19, 2011 2:21AM

LAKE ZURICH — A DeKalb ironworker died Monday after falling from a structure in an industrial park.

James Vaughn, 52, of the 1100 block of Glidden Road was working on the building in the 500 block of Oakwood Road when he fell. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:30 a.m., said Lake County Deputy Coroner Mike Reid.

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the workplace accident.

Last year, the county had two workplace deaths in November, one at a Zion landfill and another at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville.
