Reward offered in Harbor Foods robbery

WINTHROP HARBOR — The armed robbery of the Harbor Foods grocery store where a man pulled a gun and robbed two female cashiers after shopping has not been solved.
Winthrop Harbor police and Lake County Crime Stoppers are seeking information and have made the robbery the Crime of the Week.
The robbery occurred Jan. 10 at 6:18 p.m. when the suspect displayed a black handgun after bringing some items up to the cash register for purchase at the store, 1235 Sheridan Road. Then he pointed the gun at the other cashier, asked for the money from that register and then fled the scene.
The suspect is a white male, 6-foot 2-inches tall weighing about 200 pounds who possibly also had some facial hair.
