Trespassing: Jerry Mims, 28, of Zion was charged with criminal trespassing to a residence. He climbed through a balcony window to gain entry to an apartment at Osprey Lakes Apartments.
Battery: Juan Cruz, 36, of Zion was charged with battery and disorderly conduct for punching a man in the 3500 block of Grove Avenue. Cruz was released on $100 cash bond.
Retail theft: Marisol Moralses, 35, was charged with theft for stealing $72 worth of clothing from Kohl’s.
Retail theft: Maria Hernandez, 44, was cited with theft for stealing a $30 bracelet from Kohl’s.
Retail theft: Salustio Ortiz, 50, of Waukegan was charged with retail theft for stealing $143.89 worth of merchandise from Kohl’s.
Retail theft: Brittany Hawthorne, 23, of Waukegan was charged with retail theft for stealing $277 worth of clothing and sunglasses from Sears Grand.
Drugs: Crystal Martin, 31, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Drugs: Tyran Jackson, 35, of Urbana was charged with possession of cannabis.
Disorderly conduct: John Meek, 24, 39 W. Grand Ave., was charged Oct. 11 with disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia. He has a court hearing in Waukegan Nov. 9.
Drugs: Kevin Blum, 23, 19 Cremin Dr., was arrested Oct. 16 in the 200 block of Chelea Circle and charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He was taken to Lake County bond court.
Burglary: An auto body shop in the 1500 block of Artaius Parkway reported Oct. 13 that someone broke into the shop and stole two front sections of a Chevelle frame, four tires from a Lexus valued at $2,000, a used red GTO louvered hood cover valued at $200, a Chevy bumper valued at $150, scrap metal valued at $300 and a number of car batteries, radiator cores, vehicle doors and exhaust systems. A surveillance video revealed that at 4:40 p.m. two men in a white pickup removed the property by jumping the fence and using a bolt cutter to cut off the fence chain.
