Too many treats
I served 250 kids on Halloween who I don’t think belonged here in Winthrop Harbor. Can’t the mayor and the trustees get together with the other communities and do trick or treat all on the same night. I’m a senior citizen on a fixed income and it’s very difficult for me to get money to treat these little ghosts and goblins. They’re so sweet when they’re young, but when you get high school and mothers and fathers are trick or treating, it’s time it should come to an end.
Heavy tax burden
I wonder what people are thinking. Mr. Romney paid 14 percent in taxes. Some of the companies that the president helped with our Social Security money made billions and paid little or nothing in taxes. Is this fair?
Act the part
For all these people who say the Republican Party is for the rich. Does that mean that all these people in the movie and music industry are poor who are supporting Obama? Obviously they’re very wealthy. So I guess Obama is for the wealthy and the Republican Party is for the middle class.
Let women choose
How can the Republican Party be for the death penalty and be against abortion? I’m for the death penalty and pro choice. Let women make their own choices for their own bodies.
Teamwork needed
When President Obama was elected president, the Republicans vowed not to cooperate with him and to do everything against him so he could get nothing passed. Now they complain that he hasn’t done anything. Whose fault was it? It’s the Republicans and now they want your vote. Don’t be stupid. They don’t care about anything but themselves.
