No cell towers in our neighborhoods! Greg Sloan of Waukegan and AT&T are requesting from the city of Waukegan a permit to build a 150-foot cell tower near homes in my neighborhood and many others. This tower will stand directly over several existing neighborhoods, despite the availability of rural land in this part of Waukegan and numerous existing wireless options for consumers. Thanks for making food drive a success May 10 was the National Association of Letter Carriers annual “Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.” Libertyville Township was thrilled to receive 4,400 lbs. of food collected from the community by the Libertyville Postal Employees. City Council picks us taxpayers as the losers After enacting a number of tax increases and new fees on the citizens of Waukegan, the City Council has decided to give tax breaks to several Waukegan auto dealerships. This is another example of government trying to pick winners and losers, and the losers are taxpayers and other businesses. This type of selective government intervention never works at any level.
