SRACLC’s successful volleyball season ends; basketball next

The Special Recreation Association of Central Lake County recently sent its volleyball team to Hersey High School in Arlington Heights to compete in the Special Olympics District Tournament, and the Crusaders placed second in their division.
As the SRACLC’s volleyball season comes to an end, many of the athletes are looking forward to the upcoming basketball season.
SRACLC will be practicing and playing games weekly through the late fall and winter in preparation for the Special Olympics District Basketball Tournament in January.
SRACLC has four different basketball teams divided by age and ability. The teams play their home games in Libertyville and Vernon Hills.
Throughout the year, the SRACLC offers training programs for 13 different Special Olympics Sports to suit athletes of all abilities and interests.
The SRACLC serves the Grayslake, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills area.
