The United States Bowling Congress-sanctioned Lake County Bowling Association will holds its annual Hall of Fame Induction Dinner Reception on Saturday at Bonnie Brook Golf Course in Waukegan.
This year’s Hall of Fame inductees include Mike Geiger, Dario Frank, Dan Krostal and Dale Lehman.
Lehman currently is the bowling coach at Robert Morris University in Chicago and has built the program into a national powerhouse at the collegiate level.
Also to be honored during the evening will be the 2012 Stars of Tomorrow Scholarship Award winners, the 2012 Bowler of the Year, and the All-Lake County Bowling Association Team.
The five-person all-county team and the Bowler of the Year are determined by a system of points earned throughout the year, as well as by outstanding results in LCBA-sponsored tournaments.
The LCBA awards scholarships each year to outstanding students who are involved in youth bowling programs in Lake County. Candidates are gathered by the LCBA and submitted to an independent group for selection.
The reception is at 5:45, followed by dinner at 6:30, and then the induction ceremony.
Persons who want to attend can buy tickets for $35 through the LCBA. For more information, call (847) 395-8722.
Seating is limited so you should act quickly if you’re interested in attending.
Bonnie Brook is located on Lewis Avenue on the far north side of Waukegan.
