Jesse Oaks — a restaurant/bar/hall located on Old Gages Lake Road in Gages Lake — will be the site of the MMA Thanksgiving Throwdown this coming Saturday night.
TOPP Fighting MMA promoter Miguel Arellano has put together a card of fights that will have MMA fans out of their seats from the opening bell to the final submission.
Doors open at 6 o’clock and the first fight is at 7. Tickets range from $35 for general admission to $50 for the VIP section, and because of the nature of the venue, there shouldn’t be a bad seat in the house.
The event will feature Tom Angelhoff of Rothwell MMA in Kenosha, whose devastating knockout of his opponent in August was the highlight of TOPP Fighting MMA’s Battle of the Warriors 2.
Angelhoff is expected to fight unbeaten (5-0) Bobby Morrison in the 185-pound weight class.
To get your tickets, call Miguel at (224) 441-8074; or Sergio at (224) 355-0650.
You can also buy them at Cutting Edge Design (1906 Grand Ave. In Waukegan).
To get to the venue, take Route 45 north of Route 120 and south of Washington Street to Gages Lake Road and head east. Turn right on Old Gages Lake Road and you cannot miss Jesse Oaks.
