Girls soccer team’s message to cancer: Put a sock in it

The under-16 girls travel soccer team that plays for the Lake Villa-based Chicago Kickers did their part recently to support Bears Cancer Awareness Month. Team members donned pink socks for a game and used that as a fund-raiser for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Foundation.
