Chuck Ramsey’s basketball teams at Warren High School were known for their rebounding, free-throw shooting in the clutch and defense.
Now that he’s at the wheel at the College of Lake County in Grayslake, here are the key stats from the Lancers’ 63-47 thumping of Trinity International University’s JV team this week in Bannockburn:
■ A 39-27 rebounding edge for CLC.
■ The Lancers made 11-of-12 free-throw attempts in the second half.
■ TIU was held to 35-percent shooting from the field in the game.
That’s Chuck Ramsey basketball ... winning basketball.
CLC (2-0) will next play at Milwaukee Area Technical College — MATC — next Tuesday evening.
Against TIU, Grant graduate Jerry Gaylor had 32 points and 13 rebounds, and Jalen Brown added 12 points and four assists.
Layne Gierke had four assists, Demetrious Bankhead six rebounds and Muhommed Abedellofif five boards.
