The Waukegan Park District’s annual Turkey Trot run at Belvidere Park in Waukegan drew a total of 160 participants last Saturday.

The event featured runners of all ages competing in a groups, with the group winners receiving a turkey as a prize.

Distances that the runners had to cover was based on age.

The fee to compete was a non-perishable food item. All told, nine big bins were filled with items that were donated to the Holy Family Food Pantry.

Age groups ranged from under-1 to senior citizens.
