CLC men scuffling a bit on hardwood

College of Lake County’s men’s basketball team is not having a December to remember.

The team’s latest losses — 96-63 to Illinois Central College on Friday and 83-39 to Parkland on Saturday — dropped the Lances to 3-8 on the season after a 2-0 start under new coach Chuck Ramsey.

CLC will play at Truman on Tuesday night.

In Saturday’s loss, Jerry Gaylor (Grant High grad) had 14 points, and Karl Nettgen (Antioch grad) had 13.

Demetrious Bankhead had eight points and nine rebounds.

In Friday’s loss, Gaylor had 24 points and eight rebounds to lead CLC.

Muhammed Abdelltaliff had 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 points, while Nettgen added 12 points and eight rebounds.
