Libertyville High School’s JV poms/dance team nailed both its routines at the Bear Invitational that was held recently at Lake Zurich High School.

The young Wildcats won their division of competition in the poms category and finished third in the jazz category.

This year, the IHSA is conducting a state tournament for varsity poms/dance teams for the first time, taking the reigns of the sport from Team Dance Illinois.

TDI, however, continues to have a high school division.

The IHSA state tourney is for varsity teams only.
