Lake Forest grad is All-American in women’s soccer

Lake Forest High School graduate and Stanford University senior Rachel Quon recently was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s NCAA Division 1 All-American Team.
Being a first-team selection a capped off a great collegiate career for Quon, whose team played in the Final Four of the NCAA tournament last month.
Generally considered the best attacking defender in the collegiate ranks, she finished the season with two goals and seven assists in 24 appearances and led the team in minutes played with 1,927.
Quon also was recently named to the 2012 NCAA Division I Women’s All-Pacific Region First Team.
Also playing in the women’s Final Four tournament was Vernon Hills High School grad Jessica Price. She played for Florida State which, like Stanford, lost in the semifinals.
Price led Florida State with 10 assists and added two goals in 24 games this season.
Stevenson High graduate and University of Tennessee senior Ali Hall earned NCAA Division I All-South Region Second Team accolades. Hall was a defender. for the Vols.
