The Gospel Shop to hold fund-raiser for North Chicago’s hoops program

The Gospel Shop, a Christian bookstore located in North Chicago, is organizing a gospel concert to benefit North Chicago High School’s boys basketball program.
“A Celebration of Gospel Singing” will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. in the auditorium of North Chicago High School.
The concert will feature various gospel groups from Milwaukee and Chicago, as well as local churches.
Area groups performing will include the RHEMA Ministries Dance Team, Word of Life Ministries Worship, Mt. Sinai Praise Dancers, Darlene Jones & Friends, Pastor Mark McCorly & the House of Prayer Church, Bishop Michael Hargett & The Loving Arms Outreach Ministries Choir, Sylvia Hanna, Christian Barrett, Tina Green, Payton Hargett, the Christian Valley Men’s Choir, Ministerio Punto De Contacto, and more.
Special guest for the evening will be recently elected Lake County State’s Attorney Mike Nerheim.
Cost for the entire evening of music and entertainment is $5 for adults and $1 for students with an ID card. Children age 12-under can attend with their parents/grandparents for free.
