Girls basketball

Wauconda 47, Round Lake 36: Round Lake hunt tough with host Wauconda, but the Bulldogs pulled away late for a North Suburban Prairie win. Lauren Nee had 13 points for the winners, and Jessie Wood added 11. Morgin Evans had 16 points, Raven Nicoline six, and Shawna Edems five for the Panthers who are still winless in the division. Wauconda’s 5-14 overall.

Grayslake North 43, Woodstock North 37: The Knights remained unbeaten in Fox Valley Fox play and have lost just one (Crystal Lake South) all season as they march toward the division title. The game was tied 4-4 after a quarter, but the Knights outscored the Streaks 30-20 over the middle two quarters to take command. Kendall Detweiller had 11 of her 16 points in the second half, and Brittney Thibeaux added 13 markers. Grayslake outscored Woodstock 17-9 at the free-throw line and won by six.

Warren 41, Mundelein 26: The Blue Devils outscored the visiting Mustangs 13-2 in the second quarter and went on to post a North Suburban Lake win. Kristin O’Brien had 12 points, Alyssa Phillips 10, and Cassie Christie nine in the win. Maggie Mahar had nine points and Becca Woit seven in the loss. Mundelein shot just 22 percent from the field.

Girls bowling

Grayslake North 2,670, Lakes 2,152: The Knights put it all together, with Sarah Littleton rolling 201-180-221—602 and Catherine Kowalski 217-204-176—597. Jessica Vaughn added a 524. For Lakes, Tatiana Kuhn had a 180 game.

Boys basketball

Zion-Benton 77, Kenosha Tremper 68: The Zee-Bees tuned up for Friday’s monster game at Stevenson with a non-league win over a Kenosha team that is now 7-5.
