Blue Devils do well in own youth swimming meet

The Blue Devil Swim Club of Gurnee hosted its annual “Blizzard” youth swim meet recently at the RecPlex in Pleasant Prairie.
And the meet turned out to be a very good one for the home team, as several Blue Devils earned awards for top-three finishes in the high-points competition in the various age groups.
Among the Devils’ top point scorers were:
■ Dante Rinaldi — third in the 9-10 boys division.
■ Courtney Barker — third in 13-14 girls.
■ Allie Kolz — second in 15-over girls.
■ Maddie Rinaldi — third in 15-over girls.
■ Cole Heinz — first in 15-over boys.
■ Zach Besson — second in 15-over boys.
■ Greg Arther — third in 15-over boys.
Blue Devils who won individual races at the meet included Jonah Park (1 win), Chris Tatsuguchi (5), Arther (1), Kolz (1), Heinz (2), Paige Wells (1) and Courtney Barker (2).
Also winning weer the boys 15-over 400 medley relay team (Arther, Heinz, Zach Besson and Tatsuguchi), the girls 15-over 400 freestyle relay team (Rinaldi, Barker, Kolz and Wells), and the boys 15-18 400 freestyle relay team of Heinz, Arther, Besson and Tatsuguchi.
