Boys basketball
Lake Forest 53, Deerfield 49: Sophomore Evan Boudreaux had 20 points and 14 rebounds, and big Sam Downey added 13 points as the Scouts improved to 15-6 with a non-league win.
Chicagoland Jewisth 74, Vernon Hills 66: The Cougars got 20 points from T.J. Fils and 19 from Stephen Curry in this loss to a private school in Deerfield.
Girls basketball
Libertyivlle 43, Wauconda 18: The Wildcats made it above .500 for the season and are a dangerous floater for March Madness for girls. In this win, Dana Kym had 12 points in 15 minutes.
North Chicago 55, Lake Forest 43: The Warhawks wrapped up regular-season play with a victory.
Grayslake North 61, Grayslake Central 45: The Knights are 25-2 and finished 12-0 in the Fox Valley Fox by prevailing in front of a big crowd at Grayslake Central. The Rams finished 10-2 in the division, losing only to the Knights. On Friday, North will play at Cary-Grove in the Fox Valley Conference Championship Game. Cary hasn’t lost since losing twice to Vernon Hills during a Christmas tournament. This game was over early, as North led 39-22 at halftime. Four players scored in double figures for th einners and another had nine points. No Central player scored in double figures. Brittney Thibeaux had 13 points, Kendall Detweiler 12, super-sub Emily Dugan 12, Joanna Guhl 10 and Emily Stinner nine. North hit six three-balls in the first half to break the game open.
Stevenson 49, Antioch 45: The Patriots won on their “Pink Out” night. Paige Gallimore had 14 points for the Sequoits.
